What I don't understand is how do you use the maps. I know with clothes... if the other person doesn't have the file, they only see white *or if you used the same file name they see the original clothes with that file name*
If you put these in the *I'm guessing resource file* then would others be able to see your work?
Sorry, working with maps is ALL new too me.
The map texture files are uploaded to a web host just as you would any other image that you want to use for your zaby. Where the tricky part comes in is replacing the textures. One of the easiest ways is to open the image and then duplicate it so that you have two identical layers. then make a blank layer between the two. Once this is done go to the top layer and carefully remove or mask the parts of the image you want recolored. This takes a lot of time and you will lose most of if not all of the shading of the image. When the parts that you want gone are no longer there just paint the color you do want on the blank layer and save as a jpg or png file.
This is not the ONLY way however, the way I do it generally will take Two duplicates of the original image on the second layer I generally will remove the background so that only the part I want recolored remain. I then select the blank areas and invert it. once this is done I delete the image and use the paint bucket to fill in the area that I just deleted with a neutral color (like gray). I then go to the third layer (upper most) and change it's state to overlay. I then Save what I have as a template. When I want to change the color I will use the magic wand to select the gray area and paint it in with the paint bucket. Then I use contrast and brightness to give me the shade I want, on the color layer, sometimes you have to do this with the overlay as well. Save a sa png or jpg and upload to a web host and you are ready to use it. Close the original but DO NOT SAVE it again in the original format. You want the saved version to remain that neutral color.
