I have no idea how to make maps but would love a map of a really classy looking hi fi system.

and also a map of canopy bed - in fact any beds at all.

Every bed map seems to be for modern bed - are there any more available?

hi ayla...

use one of the basic plain beds like the japanese one and use walls and other stuff to make your own custom one.. is probably the easiest if you dont like the bed props...and yes i have to agree some of the prop selection is a bit on the boring side...lol....in respect to the hi fi systems the generic box or the generic cube is the easiest to make them with all you need to do is google any stereo advertising site for the look you want...cut and paste the pic to the front half of the prop and ensure the size is a multiple of 64 as mentioned in various posts ...e.g 256 x 256 128 x128 64 x 64 etc etc and you will have a nice component style system in no time...hmm i was going to post the prop map of the generic box but cant find it on my pc now...lol...anyway their is a nic who posted a link to their photobucket site somewhere in the forums which i also couldnt rememebr where it is ...person is the wraith or something like that...they have some awesome prop maps there and will give you an idea of what can be done...drop them a line and have a chat...

Can someone please explain how to use those maps that I keep seeing for some sort of dungeon bed, they are coloured and at one end have what looks like a metal ring ring on one third of the length.


What prop are they supposed to be applied to?

um it is as it says its a dungeon bed ...a lot of people use it in bdsm settings etc etc....and is the same as all beds its used for sex...lol...it just depends on which script you wish to attach to it....lol

if you want a crash course in prop maps and how you use them hunt me down inworld and tell you my limited knowledge

Didn't ask what a dungeon bed is used for...

just wanted a straight answer what prop to use for it.

if any prop is suitable, how come it doesn't look like a bed when applied to a generic box?

and how come it doesn't fit on a modern bed and look like a bed?

Can someone please tell me what prop to use?

the dungeon bed skins are used on the dungeon bed prop

it is one of the choices in the prop editor

The map of that prop as is - is this - this is the default
yuu do not need to add anything - there are a lot of tweaked prop maps but this is the basixc one

After all this time, at last I have learned how to use that skin... you wouldn't believe how many beds and how many different things I have tried over the months....

My favorite bed is modern 1. I like that u can change the bed linens on it. i make my own canopy bed out of it. Let me know if u would like me to come make one for you.

WO on the other hand gave me an ultimatum, continue doing it and face a permanent site ban. Others wind people up for weeks and months on end, cause trouble and fight yet get little or nothing done by UV. Me getting festive after 4 years here, instant permo ban warning ***

hi tino

yes as i couldnt find a decent traffic light map i made three overlays to just go over the front of each individual light....just add each one to a sign prop then resize it to the size of each light and place in front of each light.....the walk dont walk wording is see thru so when you do this it will block out all the light with just the word showing.

Hi All,

Thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge -- I'm learning so much from reading the Forum. I've finally figured out the marvels of prop maps and have an incredibly simple question: How do you know which bed skin props go on which bed? I can see which is for the canopy beds and the dungeon beds, but which props are for the modern bed (the one with the red comforter and black base)? This is driving me crazy.

Also, in order to create these props for the beds, do we need to use Granny Viewer or is there another tool? Seems like they would be fun to make, once I can figure out which is which (teeheee). BTW, I did try them on the beds.
