I recently redid my hard drive. In doing that I updated my adobe flash player to the most recent version. Unfortunately Utherverse doesn't work well with it. So I went digging to find out how to uninstall and go back to an earlier version.

First thing you need is the uninstaller for your current flash player. You can get that here.

Once downloaded just follow the directions on the page. The main thing is shutting down any program that uses flash.

Once you have the current flash player uninstalled go here to get one of the older versions.

There's a long list of older flash players here. I got the third on the list. The one labeled Flash Player 10 (157 MB). Download the file and unzip it. Inside the folder you'll find several versions. I used the one labeled 10r45_2. Open the 10r45_2 folder and you'll see several zip files and three icons with the flash icon on them. Don;t worry about the zip files. Those are for other operating systems. The files you need to install are.

- Internet Explorer: flashplayer10r45_2_winax.exe
- Netscape: flashplayer10r45_2_win.exe
Run the executable files and it should fix your flash issues in game.
There is also a stand alone player included.
- Standalone: flashplayer10r45_2_win_sa.exe

You can check to make sure it installed correctly by going to this page.

There's a Version Information box about the center of the page that will tell you your current flash player version.

I just did this and a video player I've used for a while now is working again. Hopefully this will help others that are having flash issues in the game.

THANK YOU -- thank you - thank you - crossing all appendages and hoping this works for me

Monaro - thank you for suggesting it as a possible fix yesterday, and now Wraith - thanks for the links I owe you both. This was driving me crazy. A flash file working on a prop in one location and not working in another location on the same prop

I was having the same problem. LOL Matter of fact I went to your plant store earlier and none of the plants were showing. Have had the files for this for a couple days now. Figured now would be a good time to do it.

ok have just done this and yea the couple of swf files i have inworld are working again and also all my flash textures loading a lot faster......wtg bro ya a legend and ty

i read where someone had said nvidia graphics cards won't see the flash files. if they would have left it alone everything would have been fine, but nooooooo. fix one issue and create 40 more. standard operating procedure here it seems.

Seems My flash is not working either.
Is that going to be fixed? It worked yesterday or day before. 10-12-2010?
Hate to unload and uninstall and reinstall as I am not best with pc's although I can do it.
I wish they would tell us more??

lol, I dont want to fix or change anything. If RLC is not able to make simple move and make flash visible for all of us, its useless to talk about. I already have many problems about freezing in many regions I made before and rent, so they are useless for me also. From day to day its worse and worse, and my year old work seems to be ruined. I am really tired of sending tickets and mails to support for days, nobody answers. Cheers!

Unfortunately this won't fix the current issue with the last patch. I tried it last night myself and still I see no flash textured props. All we can do at the moment is wait for Utherverse to get their shit together.

HI Peoples ,,, looks like this flash problem has hit me now as of the last update on the 13th Oct & since then i have tried the solution that has been suggested & even though it brought back up the invisible items , it unfortunetly did not bring them up with the custom textures & it also did not allow me to change the textures again either ,,, so it thought 1 should try again in case i did something wrong ,,, but that only brought it all back up to the flash textures being invisible again ,,,,, any other suggestions would be a great help & thanx again in advance ,,,, hunts

Not just Nvidia gang... My ATI system yesterday started acting up ran your fix Wraith (many, many thanks) and it started working. Ran it on my netbook and my bigger laptop. Netbook works, go figure... but bigger laptop loses some and it is an Intel here are the specs of the one that loses props with the fix you described:

followed these instructions to the T..... i got my music playing again .. but i still see no FLASH textures.. in my zaby.. wth is wrong
Tech support hasnt helped .. they did try but then abandoned me .. after me installing the older version i have not heard anything
else..

this is horrible.. other puter plays it fine and obviously some peoples play..
i mean what is it do i need a new computer completely to play utherverse now?

other puter is got win 7 mine doesnt.. but other ppl have win 7 and are also having same issues as me but some ppl on xp are fine too..
unsure what is going on.. update on drivers reinstallations.. re installations of new adobe and old ... nothing is working..

Actually in a case like this sending in those files would help. Tech support made apost asking for debug and dxdiag files from people having problems. Which means they basicly have no clue what's wrong. The more info that people having problems can give them the better chance they can figure out where the problem is.

In the mean time though. Since they are grasping for straws trying to figure this out they should roll back the last patch and give the paying customers a working version again.
